Battery in MacBook Pro failed. Still under Warranty?
hi, bought non-retina macbook pro in summer 2013 here in uk. recently, battery has stopped working properly. turns on without power source , date reset 1/1/2012 (i believe there no longer cmos battery in macbook pros). under eu law, goods come 2-year warranty, although in second year, onus on customer prove product sold defective. http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/shopping/shopping-abroad/guarantees/index_en.htm according application "coconut battery" laptop has had 280 loadcycles. surely should able more this, hence think qualifies (but wrong). there is, however, complication. replaced hard drive myself last year hybrid drive (not apple fusion drive) noticeably improves performance. upgrade invalidate warranty? if apple acknowledge it's covered under warranty might replace new model standard configuration? bought model because relatively easy upgrade myself. might apple replace battery free? in advance suggestions. ...
