Is it safe to run a PowerMac G5 w/o the door?
hey everyone,
question today pretty simple: want know if it's okay powermac g5 run without door? not talking acrylic air baffle, computer not allow remove, while system running; referring metal door panel.
reasoning air baffle there reason, , design maintain proper air flow our without actual metal door... true? notice, though, upper compartment, baffle not cover, exposed. (optical , hard drives) absence of metal door cause issues section of powermac?
lastly, , know sounds stupid.... not healthy run w/o door? know computers don't radiate much, have exposed hard drive+ system components blocked piece of plastic. dad has been computer scientist since 80s, , reasoning states computers radiate, , therefore not expose system components. (which 1 of reasons computers' thick, metal casings) maybe thinking 1980s computer, have been standing next running microwave, how powermac g5? keep in mind it's sitting next legs, on floor.
-thanks
p.s. reason running without cover?? looks dang cool way
