iPhone Wifi Network Login Connundrum

[disclaimer: both of devices running ios 8.1]

work @ university , using iphone 6 & ipad 2 day long. @ university, wifi network requires entering faculty/student id/password. after putting in combo, ipad stays connected or reconnects without issue building building, day day.

however, iphone continually disconnects me (after seemingly brief period of inactivity), , have to, again, put in credentials. record, have auto-join , auto-login enabled.

thoughts? ideas? suggestions?

does ipad have 802.1x certificate installed? universities use automatic authentication/connect wifi networks. phone might missing certificate.

can check going ipad's settings , tap "general," scroll down "itunes wifi sync" displayed. underneath that, there should vpn option, followed "profile." if it's installed, you'll either see name of university network, or more generic (like "cisco" or similar).

unfortunately, certificates don't transfer between devices. you'll need talk university's department steps need take install on phone (usually involves going special website , following few steps).

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
