Battery in MacBook Pro failed. Still under Warranty?

hi,

bought non-retina macbook pro in summer 2013 here in uk. recently, battery has stopped working properly. turns on without power source , date reset 1/1/2012 (i believe there no longer cmos battery in macbook pros).

under eu law, goods come 2-year warranty, although in second year, onus on customer prove product sold defective.

according application "coconut battery" laptop has had 280 loadcycles. surely should able more this, hence think qualifies (but wrong).

there is, however, complication. replaced hard drive myself last year hybrid drive (not apple fusion drive) noticeably improves performance. upgrade invalidate warranty? if apple acknowledge it's covered under warranty might replace new model standard configuration?

bought model because relatively easy upgrade myself. might apple replace battery free?

in advance suggestions.

you should able have taken care of through apple without issues, since below 1,000 charge cycles battery rated for. in addition, user upgradable components such hard drives , memory not void warranty long didn't damage while working inside of computer.

book appointment genius bar @ local apple store or visit apple authorized service provider, able sort out you.

best of luck , have great day. :)
