i'm having strangest thing happen on mac mini (mid 2011). it's worth, i've upgraded yosemite. while back, noticed mini wasn't responding ir commands. went check in security & privacy menu under advanced, , sure enough, there no option available disable ir. based on i've read online, means somehow mini has lost ability receive ir signals. decided try clean install of yosemite bootable usb have, couldn't mini restart while holding down option key. best mini restart while holding down command + r. via method, apple verified machine, , able download , reinstall yosemite. sure enough, once yosemite reinstalled, mini once again able receive ir codes. use mini htpc, leave running. however, when restart, lose ir functionality, , looking again in security & privacy, see i've lost mention of ir once again. reinstall yosemite (via command + r, not via option key @ startup), , ir reappears. restarted compu

i got 2012 refurb mini. have lg 32" 1080p tv (model number 32le5300). want connect devices (mini, xbox, cable tv) 1 screen consolidate everything. i've connected mini lg tv , not scaling quite should. i'm hoping can explain why or me resolve issue. mac mini (running mavericks) connected lg tv via hdmi cable. mini picks lg tv under displays in preferences. under 'scaled' shows rotation , refresh rate settings. i'm having 2 problems. first, when sit want to, around 6 feet away, can't see anything! font small. can't figure out how make font universally larger, not app specific. second, if move in closer legible distance, around 3 feet away, blurry. app icons menu bar. gives?? why won't scale font correctly according screen size? how correct this? everyone. edit: mis-spoke. there 'scaled' option under display, issue still applies. @ 1080p, scaled normal screen, icons , pixelated. @ 720p, bigger, still blurry

are there great alternatives 2d animation , animated drawing, used, supported, , industry standard cc? edit: well, kind of answered own question. found out toon boom , appears fit bill outstandingly. still curious if there others out there.   i saw post after year... hype has come long way in short time. it's easier use flash (especially interactivity) , has power if know javascript. 2d animation capabilities pretty good. wish handled audio bit better. i have mid-2011 27" imac use photography. i've been quite pleased , had been running old nec 20" monitor second screen web browsing. purchased asus pa249q 99% adobe rgb coverage use second monitor , proof images before printing. largely on advice of fellow photographer disliked imac screen color accurate work , figured time update 7 year old nec. calibrated both i1display , surprised @ how closely imac matched new monitor - quite subtle difference in color temp it. decided order prints lab see how images on screen compared final product. opened same images in ps on both monitors. when clicking 'proof colors' on imac , using adobe rgb, colors shifted lot , not place. asus had no shift. but, monitors (with proof colors unchecked) remarkably close each other , final prints! in mind, thinking of sending asus amazon returnable within 30 days , using 2011 imac secondary monitor vs computer when purchase retina imac lat
