Wifi Dropped

wifi being dropped on macbook (yosemite 10.10.1). here details:

macbook looses wifi regularly in home.
when log in, there network listed ahead of mine.
other devices in home having no wifi problems.
macbook not loose wifi @ job or 2 public libraries. tried them since problem occurred.

ideas? thank you.
 

in system preferences > network > advanced make sure home wifi network higher whatever 1 grabbing shouldn't (even delete other 1 if never want connect it). may want check box "ask join new networks" on networks page, way won't automatically regrab other network because it's unsecured.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
