Water damage question

i have late 2013 rmbp , wife spilled glass of water near it. pulled away right before flood of water came far on , powered off before water can in think.

right have power/thunderbolt side down towel beneath in case did in.

@ may have seen few drops near 1 of thunderbolt ports didn't see in. how long recommend leave off before turning on? i'm worrying want safe.
 

i feel pain, spilled glass of water on mbp keyboard earlier week , on ebay being sold salvage because not worth new logic board (700 dollars).

leave 24-48 hours , try turning on again after inspection

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
