Gatekeeper - Apple getting ready to phase out 'install apps from anywhere'?

noticed every computer i've updated 10.10 has reset setting gatekeeper allow signed apps. in addition, looks in yosemite setting reverts default after 30 days (so have continually change anywhere).

else see writing on wall? seems apple easing signed apps (especially of kernel, kext, , unix security/signing stuff added in yosemite).

thought of day.
 

maybe we'll eased jailbreaking macs too.

Is this battery use normal

i have 2014 11-inch haswell macbook air i5 1.4 / 8 gb / 128 gb. had since october, 3rd mba. clean install of yosemite. virtually no apps installed. no flash. if have bluetooth off , brightness 2/3 might scrap 6 hours of battery use. not using the web. i'm typically using nisus or basic text editor (bbedit) browsing web, on text based sites, no flash, adblock on, 5 or 6 tabs 4.5 hours. watching film 2.5 hours. if leave computer on nothing open, , go sleep disabled, lasts 7 hours. it's not yosemite. getting same on mavericks. know people 12 hours or on 11-inch haswell wifi off, , writing on text editor. took apple shop, nothing showed on battery test, did clean install in case of runaway process (ironically, have runaway process giving me 2 hours battery life total, that's on thread)   there many factors impact battery life. see battery life charge se...
