hi all. have 3 month old imac - not 4k. bought on same day 4k imacs came out. thought getting 4k, didn't want spend money. love imac, keep reading how amazing 4k imac , i'm regretting choice. i'm getting pretty hefty tax refund , wondering if worth selling current imac , upgrading 4k imac? noticed apple has 4k refurb $2,100. light gaming, photoshop, photo editing, , standard web surfing, music, chatting, etc. on imac. avoided reading reviews 4k imac quite time because knew make me want it, caved , can't stop thinking it. hi, i'm trying install boot camp on late 2013 27" imac (mavericks 10.9.5, 3.5ghz intel core i7, 1tb fusion, 16gb ram). i'm using disk utility create new 80gb partition on internal 1tb fusion drive (technically 1.12tb). once disk utility has completed repartitioning, partition ends being around 200gb in size. i've tried creating fat, exfat , mac os extended (journaled) in every case final partition ends being larger expected. imac brand new, first switched on last night. filevault not enabled. i've installed boot camp on imac 1tb fusion drive , didn't have problem then. i'm using disk utility version 13. ideas?   when select disk (in disk utility) , select "partition" tab - can't decrease partition size?   Forums Macs

hey guys, have mac pro 3.1 (early 2008). having issues getting new intel 730 series 480gb ssd boot velocity solo x2 card. here did. 1. kept osx drive installed, , took out other drives 2. installed velocity card in (slot 1) x16 slot (no ssd attached) 3. installed new ssd drive on sata ii slot. 4. installed windows 8.1 pro, , updates (multiple restarts) (made sure velocity drivers installed) 5. took ssd out of sata ii slot, , attached velocity card 6. started yosemite , selected windows 8 boot drive 7. restarted , black flashing curser. waited around 5 min 8. tried booting windows boot screen, , same result install windows without bootcamp. don't think that's issue. great before attached ssd velocity card. @ loss. not sure here. or advice appreciated. appreciate time,   tried couple more things, , didn't have affect. 1. pram reset 2. moving solo x2 card slot 4 3. moved

long story short, after upgrading yosemite cannot put computer sleep , wake 2 monitors on , connected. have spent hours on phone, , been apple store twice trying resolve issue. replaced the: 5400 hd, logic board, , ssd in computer trying resolve , when brought home 2nd time last night still having same issues. when put computer sleep , wake computer inoperable. cannot click anything, computer frozen. work around: way can make mini , sleep work to: step 1) turn 2nd monitor on, 2) put mini sleep, 3) wake mini up, 4) turn 2nd monitor on. apple getting call later can report bug directly.   i don't think hardware issue. think second display issue 10.10. read lot of complains issue, have yet find or solution. , solution very very welcome. if has right solution. * use external 3rd party display connected thunderbolt connector. mbp 2011 in clamshell mode. freeze me inconsist

as of may know, love g4 towers , have been working on completing collection of them(the yikes! continues elude me). collecting aside, still use computers, , 1 of heavily used dual 1ghz quicksilver. while computer serves needs well, has problems. biggest because "low end" 800mhz 2002 model, i've never been able access l3 cache. so, i've dumped lot of time , effort upgrading g4. in addition 120 , 160gb triple boot leopard, tiger, , os 9(although no longer os 9 due video card issues), i've populated expansion slots. have motorola wireless card functions airport extreme card, scsi card(to run slide scanner), usb 2.0/fw400 card, , modified radeon 9600xt. computer fulfills needs, i've felt lack of l3 cache holding back. little while ago, bought "real" dual 1ghz on marketplace here. it's pretty in stock configuration other maxed ram , radeon 9000, has scsi card installed factory dual 80gb drives. when computer

after lot of debate , research made plunge past weekend , bought new apple tv 3. long time apple user installation in home theater setup relatively uneventful. have ethernet switch connected satellite dvr , bluray player connected atv directly network. first thing did run software update on atv. had unused blue tooth keyboard came latest imac never used paired , use remote. took me bit of poking @ settings got home sharing running , atv , imac team nicely serve a/v jukebox. big complaint online performance. i'm paying 15 mbps dsl internet service , typically measures 10 11.5 mbps, though falls ridiculous low value - below 1 3 comes up. i'm trying see if there pattern that. seems related time of day better performance in morning , drops in evening, can't sure of that. far i've yet able view more short video clips. clip begin play quickly, other times spinner grind away several minutes before video starts play. other times i'll give

i ran problem today can't believe real problem in day , age. how send video iphone directly own dropbox? easy ways large videos off iphone in short supply, seemed perfect one. don't want upload pics/vids, know dropbox/carousel you. want able pick 1 video , have upload dropbox, can remove iphone. have thought new share button extensibility have done it, , there web links suggest can it. can tell, when apple launched ios 8, click share , add dropbox share options, go directly there. if that's still possible, can't see how enable it. dropbox app allows send individual picture up, not show videos when click select upload, pics. can tell me if i'm missing something, , how enable sending single video directly dropbox? thanks! edit: figured out! go dropbox, hit ... icon in upper right, add files, photos, camera roll/all photos , find video there.   press 3 dots @ top rig
