iphone 5 connects/disconnects

when plug iphone 5 laptop (os windows 7), repeatedly , rapidly connects , disconnects. help?? thanks!

replace lightning cable
try computer
go genius bar
perhaps pins bent or lightning port damaged???

got iphone 5 wet!!! bent pins trying piece of rice out! had square trade replaced. disconnecting too. after dug rice out, charge! , managed turn off find iphone, before going genius bar! tried sync or backup disconnected.

running ios 8??? or ios 7??? disconnecting in itunes, meaning itunes ?? or disconnecting external drive in explorer ??
(this applies ios 7 ) in ios 7 should able browse dcim folder , copy pictures phone. can rule out if itunes problem

theres whole list of instructions on how uninstall , reinstall itunes. don't touch or erase music library, theres lot of stuff can remove mobile device helper , real deep down stuff, , reinstall itunes see if helps
