does upgrading ram , adding ssd mid 2012 macbook extend life? , how long expand if upgrade brand new 1 myself?
 

adding ram , ssd improve performance, have no effect on life of mac. how long lasts depends on how take care of it. how need upgrade newer model depends on intended uses. many people can use same computer 8 years or more, while others need or want upgrade every year or two. it's you. no 1 can answer questions you.
