i'm wrestling getting bootcamp installed on 3tb fusion imac. apparently lot harder before; i've never had issues on previous macs. noticed when looking @ hidden partitions, have bunch of extras, or @ least appear duplicates, , wondering why there many: macintosh hd efi macintosh hd boot os x efi macintosh hd recovery hd why there 3 macintosh hd partitions? first 1 logical one, 3.11tb. second not mounted, , 120gb in size. i'm assuming fusion portion? third not mounted, , comes 3tb in size. there 3 efi partitions @ 209mb each. i've been reading number of partitions have may have impact, , windows partition needs within first 2.2tb of hard drive, , possibly on partition 4 exactly. i'm not having luck, when following criteria. looking insight on partitions -- if they're needed, or if somehow created during failed bootcamp attempts, , if others 3tb fusion drive can chime in on suggestions. running 10.9.5 on l

hi folks! have issue macbook pro 15, mid-2012. now, dead. didn't liquid or fallings, died in arms. problems started that: when connected charger didn't charge. no lights on magsafe remained working on battery. checked charger on mbp , worked. tried other charger on mbp , still no lights on magsafe nor charging. several minutes went , mbp died. can't turn on , no activity. disassembled laptop , took out motherboard start tracing fault. tried turn on keyboard connector no luck. measured magsafe board while connected motherboard , charger present. 0.9v charger connectors , 0.3v center pin. tried "brute force" charger turn on adding 4k7 resistor 1. , 2. pin on magsafe board. hear weak "sine tone" somewhere on motherboard , around 3v reading magsafe pins 1 , 2 still no lights on magsafe. conclusion: 1: drains power drastically 2: why computer doesn't let charger turn on? have read numerous topics on mbp 1

just got new retina 27" imac been few years , couple of os's ago can't seem stop asking password upon startup or if sleeps etc. don't take out of house , user annoying have keep doing this went users/groups , login options disable password greyed out, can't see option ungrey it went security, general, disable automatic logon greyed out , chose other options see if make greyed 1 come "un-greyed" far nothing seems allowing to... missing please? want able turn on , desktop without intrusion have 2 other macs, 2 mbp , have been able disable asking password easily...not time haven't had chance set imac yet, plan today after lunch in meantime first make sure disabled, asking password in advance   have unlocked in lower left of pref panes?   Forums Macs
