IPhone 6 low-light video vs photo

not sure if else has noticed when taking picture in low-light situations field of view illuminated when switching video if lights turned off. know what's causing this?
 

i've been wondering well. have no real answer you. noticed first iphone 5 when iphone cameras started getting better @ low light. before difference smaller. it's getting bigger , bigger. best guess when taking picture camera uses has offer. video has disable "features" able record 1080p 30/60 fps video. that's guess anyway.

edit: if check slo mo video. darker. switched 30fps 60 because noticed 30 being better in low light.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
