Frayed cord, would like your advice before I take it into store.

hello, i've come here on off while being mac owner while looking proper upgrade mac. (last year) had screen broken college roommate , got replaced. month ago started shutting off randomly, sent away fixed @ local apple store. after month got saying fixed realized wasn't, took apart myself , noticed frayed cord when pushed fixes issue. here picture of cord is, , i'm wondering best option is?

edit: circled cord frayed, directly under screws are.

take in again. if have paperwork of being fixed apple, take too. can't tell they'll do, replace , fix again?

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
