i'm using iphone 6 plus/8.1.2 , mba 2014/10.10.1. @ home, can answer/call mac, works fine, no problems here. both devices connect same wifi router. in office, notice when call, i'd hear on iphone, , see on mac. however, answering on mac error. suspect cause have 2 network connection on mac, combination of wifi , thunderbolt/gigabit, each connection has own public ip addresses. iphone connected same apple airport express mac, shares same wifi network. has similar set up? yes unplug thunderbolt/gigabit adapter, it's nicer have file transfer.   i have agree - if you're access 2 different public ip internet, ethernet connection take precedence web , whatever. call rings , detects using bluetooth voice goes on wifi. now, it'll work if have wifi , ethernet connected same network yours being different, seems culprit. since works @ home. i'd try pulling cabled , running

hey guys it's come time upgrade existing hard disk that's in ibook g4- 5400rpm, 30gb toshiba came factory installed. have quite few 2.5" pata hard drives available me, each come own pros , cons. ideally, plan on doing upgrade in 2 phases. taking ibook g4 apart isn't i'm worried about, rather condition of plastics after screwing (and unscrewing) various components, want limit how many times take thing apart. i'd make image of hard disk using disk utility onto fw400 drive (as have no 2.5" pata 3.5" pata or usb/firewire adapters on hand @ moment) , throw in 1 of these hd's , copy image over. after i've saved up, plan on buying pata ssd owc or msata card adapter , throwing in. here's conundrum: have 3 hd's: 1 40gb @ 5400 rpm old tibook g4 drive (10gb upgrade, no speed change) 2 60gb @ 4200 rpm (30gb upgrade, speed drop of 1200 rpm) i'd throw in 1 of 60gig hd's, prevent me having toss

hi, bought new 42" inch lg led tv. tried hooking nintendo 64 don't image it. both tv , console european. know nintendo 64 work because played on crt tv had before tv. unfortunately have 1 game wave race 64. when starting consol hear audio image black , when pressing start buttons/making choices can see quick shiftings on screen showing there must kind of image signal coming through? guys think. have gotten n64 run on newer hdt?   it sounds either cable damaged or port on tv is. i've been doing old consoles, got myself old tv them (since these modern ones don't great job of it). found splitter using various systems onto 1 scart input (i assume you're using scart?) needed washing before worked. had sound, , image flicker in if jiggled cable. dipped in water , left day before trying again , worked. that's i'd do. give components little wash!

i have no idea put this. apologize if wrong place. put here because believe it's icloud backups causing issue. keyboard shortcuts crash ios 8 devices. can delete them, list keeps repopulating. it's incredibly frustrating. i've been on phone apple multiple times seem not know. i've tried deleting them, deleting icloud backups. no luck. tried deleting them settings->keyboard area on mac. they're again. don't know go here. want them gone forever , i'll happy never use shortcut again.   try log out icloud on devices (ios , os x). restart them, login icloud on 1 device, delete shortcuts. wait see if come back. if it's ok login other devices. otherwise, delete them mac maybe it's coming there... otherwise it's icloud issue, there lot of issues related icloud nowadays... instance safari history sync doesn't work in case , reminders on icloud.com shows m

this first time i've been bombarded chinese fake goods (oakley, ray bans, michael kors, ugg, ralph lauren, louis vitton, coach) spam on icloud.com email account. started in november. i'm careful give out icloud email to, it's happened is. i've done troubleshooting tips found setting junk mail filters in icloud.com webmail, mail app junk settings, sending spam emails spam@icloud.com , turning off "load remote images", etc. filters worked little while , spam emails ended in junk folder. spammers changed email ever , icloud spam filters didn't pick up. don't it. mavericks spam filters worked (sometimes good), yosemite's doesn't. else having junk mail filtering problems?   there have been sporadic reports on forums same kind of thing when using mac mail. knowledge, there has been no general fix posted.

my macbook air has flashing gray folder of death on startup , when going internet recovery option holding down option during bootup, i'm able see list of local wifi networks , login own. that's far can get... once logging wireless network nothing happens , screen shows dropdown network's name selected , wifi icon on left of dropdown connected full bars. there's no folder or internet globe icons me select above dropdown option. how next step in recovery process? thought might because of hard drive, replaced brand new hard drive , i'm still getting same issue. update w/ fix: got working. needed free copy of 10.7 lion on usb, boot that, format new harddrive. new.   if you've put new hard drive in, when recovery screen, go menu , disk utility , format drive, reboot again recovery screen , should see disk.   Forums

apple hardware test won't complete. seems stop after 20 minutes. can still move mouse, it's jerky. time shown next "total time testing" has not updated in several hours. suspect there's issue hard drive. user tried install upgrade yosemite , failed error type of disk issue (sorry, don't have exact error, searching on error indicates disk problem). disk utility installation utility , mac attached via target disk mode reports no issues. can't boot copy of disk warrior. screen stays white apple logo. might copy old i5 imac. super duper makes complete copy of disk device, can't find exact error right now. hoping apple hardware test tell me answer, won't finish. i've run native test , used option - d download test. hate open , replace drive see if makes difference. i'd better diagnosis. thoughts?   a follow prior post aht not com
