Strong iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Sales Lead to Smartphone Market Share Growth for Apple

latest smartphone sales data released today kantar worldpanel comtech highlights news apple on strength of iphone 6 , 6 plus launch, apple gaining share year-over-year in every country surveyed except japan.

report, focusing on september-november 2014 period, points out android market share dropped in european markets , saw first decline in u.s. since september 2013. in surveyed period, apple reached 42.5 percent of uk sales, 12.2 percentage points same time in 2013.

in u.s., cupertino-based company's share of smartphone sales grew 4.3 points reach 47.4 percent of market, unsurprising performance given strong sales of company's latest iphones. more data apple on october-december iphone sales announced later month when company releases quarterly earnings report.

apple's strong performance being attributed in part enthusiasm redesigned bodies , larger screens of iphone 6 , 6 plus, iphone 6 leading smartphone pack during time period.
despite declines in many markets, android remains dominant platform in europe 69.9 percent of market, although number down 3.2 percentage points same period in 2013. kantar notes customers switching android ios remained @ steady 18 percent 2013 2014, suggesting apple's larger-screened phones have yet represent significant motivation switchers.

Stopping MP4 files

i started using mac parallels. in order able surf web safer use mac side. problem i'm having 1 newspaper read has mp4 screen goes off whenever seen on screen. mozilla on windows had flashblocker since mac doesn't use flash there no blocking either safari or mozilla. can tell such things download , deny download. there way stop this? i've read here using mac safari or mozilla no means way ensure wacky things don't browser. wackiness contained more browser mac opposed windows gets whole system?   i guess answer can't. enough drive me windows side of browsing. every time frame come view on page news report starts blaring or have no downloading. here's business opportunity someone- create first quicktime or mp4 or whatever auto-starting blocker.   Forums Macs ...

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
