MacBook Air 11" Users, describe your experience?

for have macbook air 11" please describe experience it? mean how battery life? primary or secondary computer? etc
 

i have been using apple products since apple ][ in 1978 , have pretty owned them on years. recent history in laptops 2008 15" mbp > 2011 13" mba > 2013 11" mba. 11" mba favorite computer of time. it's primary computer , use big external screen @ home when need more workspace.

never run battery way down, seems 10+ hours no problem. earlier year, watched own movies during whole flight newark london , there plenty of battery capacity left on arrival.

have i7/8gb/512gb model , it's fast little computer. retired few years ago , occasional consulting jobs. if still working every day , needed use built-in screen time things cad, might not find quite perfect. it's right current needs.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
