Spotify Adds CarPlay Support in Latest iOS Update

spotify today released new version of its ios app [direct link] adds apple carplay integration. spotify among several ios apps, including cbs radio, iheartradio , beats music, pledged support in-car ios feature when unveiled earlier year, , spotify's update arrives pioneer rolling out carplay firmware support several existing aftermarket systems.

the updated music player allow users access spotify account using car's in-dash receiver , compatible iphone. other changes in version 1.8.0 include support spoken swedish , québécois on ios 8 , other various ios 8 bug fixes.
apple's carplay technology brings ios features such navigation, messaging, music playback , more car dashboards, making easier users interact services while in vehicle. several automobile manufacturers, including audi, ferrari, ford, hyundai, , others, have partnered apple bring technology cars in upcoming model years.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
