NBC News website videos hang on Safari

i've had mac on 2 years , love it...but there's 1 odd thing can't seem , play videos on nbc news website using safari. swirling circle continuously. can play them firefox or chrome, , wife's win 7 pc, on same network, has no problem playing them well.

doing wrong or safari have basic issue videos....?

if go link in safari show have flash installed?

not have flash installed , see same swirling circle described in safari, if use chrome (which has own flash included) videos come right up.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
