each of above listed states, along many states in new england, saw between 55 , 65 percent of smartphone traffic coming iphones. arizona, new mexico, texas, washington, iowa, missouri, wisconsin, indiana, , michigan saw lowest amount of traffic coming iphones, @ 40 44 percent. new mexico state lowest iphone usage.

according chitika, iphone usage rates did not correlate geography or raw population figures, there relationship both population density , education level. higher median income associated iphone usage, result of education level, 2 variables go hand in hand. in states higher education levels , denser populations, iphone usage tended higher.

in similar study conducted in 2011, montana 1 of few states iphone usage outpaced android usage. in many states iphone not dominant, 2 usage maps provide interesting @ how iphone adoption has grown state on past 4 years. many states blackberry dominated, example, seeing high iphone usage.

chitika's study not first correlate iphone usage higher education , income levels. several other studies have suggested iphone owners are, on average, wealthier , higher educated other smartphone owners.
