Water droplet near volume buttons on iPhone 6

i @ work today , droplet of water fell on new iphone 6 (got christmas) right near volume buttons. took out of case , tried wipe off, , think got if not of it. don't know if got inside phone.

safe turned off, , got home put in plastic bag 2 silica gel packets let sit @ least day, two.

how high guys think chance there water damage? 2 days gel packets enough or overkill?

have applecare+ on phone hope don't have use already, , know there rubber gaskets around volume , power buttons, don't know how effective @ keeping out.

thanks!
