hi everyone. helping friend needs film short video responses guitar academy students on macbook pro 15 retina using built in camera, perform simple trims @ start , end of clips produce mp4 upload site. using quicktime player record , trim @ moment , exporting handbrake convert mp4. wonder if can recommend simple 'one stop' solution of in 1 single application. must simple use solution skill set @ beginner level.
 

the absolute simplest thing use photo booth. can set movie mode and, once done, right click file save desktop. file in proper format. (it .mov instead of .mp4, it's still h.264 file either way.)

1 thing doesn't ability trim, though. record directly imovie, things bit more complicated. train him on how basic edits in imovie , how save file when done, suggestion doesn't want learn use photo booth , learn start talking after starting recording.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
