CES 2015: OWC's Transwarp Software Combines Traditional Hard Drive With SSD Cache

other world computing (owc) today announced new software solution allows users combine speed of solid state drive increased storage space of traditional hard drive. new transwarp technology previewed first time week @ ces 2015.

while ssd caching not new, owc's transwarp solutions aims make easy mac owners combine removable ssd , hdd single data volume. unlike apple's fusion drive pairs hdd ssd, owc's transwarp setup uses hdd hold data , ssd cache, storing , accessed data on faster access volume while traditional hard drive retains complete copy of data.

transwarp, ssd can removed needed, allowing users travel hdd installed in computer. when ssd reconnected os x system, owc's transwarp technology takes on , again combines both drives one.
owc previewing transwarp @ ces 2015. company has yet announce formal launch date beyond "later year" or suggested retail pricing drive technology.

i'm wary of adopting freshly baked proprietary data storage technology.

i'd rather have manual system ssd/few data + big hdd combo.
trusted method, no worries.

also, data need @ fast speeds determined more frequency or shall short-term frequency.
not saying algorithm bad, granular control , predictability.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
