Mounting directory as a volume

hi everyone,

i've merged couple of volumes , know how mount following folder:
/volumes/disk_data_1/disk_data_2
into
/volumes/disk_data_2

kind of symlink trickery should use os x sees "disk_data_2" directory volume? (re-partitioning drive not option)

i don't think os x can that. if it's necessary, might create disk image of folder , mount it. otherwise, best thing copy files actual volume or partition of own. said repartitioning not option, it's option. there option of larger disk, or external disk.
