iOS 8 Now Installed on 68 Percent of Active iOS Devices

since launching in september alongside iphone 6 , 6 plus, ios 8 has seen adoption rate grow 68 percent of compatible ios devices, according new numbers posted on apple developer support page.

apple updating data publicly every few weeks, latest data point represents 4 percentage point bump in adoption since last update on december 23. significant increase highlights apple's strong performance in device activation numbers on holidays add company's ios 8 user base.

on longer term, installation numbers up 5 percentage points on past month , 12 percentage points in past 2 months. ios 7 usage has seen understandable decline successor has gained ground, older operating system dropping 33 percent in december 29 percent in january. earlier ios versions represent 4 percent of current app store user base.

apple faced multiple issues following ios 8's launch, including has progressed lawsuit on storage space needed install os on smaller gb devices, adoption rate has steadily increased users have decided upgrade , purchases of devices ios 8 preinstalled have increased.

apple has brought number of bug fixes , addressed more significant flaws recent updates such ios 8.1, ios 8.1.1, , ios 8.1.2. company continuing work on ios 8.2, seeding third beta developers in mid-december. in addition bug fixes , other improvements, ios 8.2 include support integrating upcoming apple watch.

i take great pleasure still being on ios 7.1.2. never put garbage ios 8 on iphone 5s.

still rockin ios 6 on ipad 3, too. never upgrade either.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
