Reflash iOS 7 possible? (same firmware)

question tried this.

have iphone 5 on 7.1.1 version. updated long ago via ota (over air), , patched on ios usual update.

because of current issues , large "other" folder in phone, want wipe completely. thats easy , done, want reflash 7.1.1 onto phone complete ipsw file (using dfu mode, ctrl + shift in itunes ). possible since ios7 can no longer signed?

phone has never been jailbroken.

it not possible. either stay on ios 7.1.1 is, or update 8.1.2.
