Migration Assistant - does it work

so got first imac. using migration assistant transfer data pc imac, machines hooked via ethernet.

keeps losing connection , keep going square one. has been going on 5 hours - gets hour migration, loses connection , have cancel , start again.

have followed instructions letter. thought apple supposed work piece of crap. there trick missing?
 

didn't work me when tried use last week between windows vista , imac. spent hour on phone apple , couldn't fix it.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
