Macbook pro mid 2010 - major battery issues

hi guys,

here's problem: have mid 2010 macbook pro. has been running great no issues. recently, however, battery started having issues. low, plug in adaptor, , 'not charging' status. i'd have leave plugged in several hours start charging. stopped charging altogether, remaining green light , 'not charging' status indefinitely.

i've tried possible on these forums, resetting smc , else. information able gather, decided time new battery (mine on 1,000 cycles @ point).

got replacement battery , installed myself. booted computer , guess what, exact same problem. adaptor stays green light , computer reads 'not charging'.

else can try before heading shop? info, appreciated.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
