iCloud Drive - Upgrading Question

hi

have question hope can with.

mac, i'm running macbook pro (2011 mavericks), macbook air (2013 mavericks), mac mini (2012 mavericks).

mobile devices, i'm running ipad 2 (with ios 7.1.1), ipad mini retina (with ios 7.1.1), , iphone 5s (with ios 7.1.1).

i'm new mac have bought ecosystem can see. spent lot of time running windows on them have switched on mac osx (though still run windows vm in fusion legacy stuff).

so, original question.

want upgrade ios devices ios 8.1, , macs yosemite.

worry though, order them in don't mess icloud drive stuff. have heard couple of horror stories (one colleague) of people upgraded 1 devices , lost access icloud data on other devices.

kit above, order upgrade in? there chance wouldn't them on same day need access icloud data in-between if @ possible.

devices use mbp, iphone , ipad mini.

hmmm...i don't think order matters, really. i'd focus on mac first - , make sure had full backup of current build files, on mavericks - say, backup time machine. way, if stuff gets hosed you'll have restore point. ios devices. again, @ end of day, doubt matters.
