Vast difference between 2.4 and 2.7?
i trying decide between buying used imac or used rmbp decent power bump on 2012 cmbp starting more heavily involved in fcpx/after effects/photoshop. close friend brought on 2013 15" rmbp 2.7 i7/16gb ram/gt 650m me "experiment" with. ran 8 tabs of chrome (4 of streaming 4k videos on youtube) while running aperture , imovie in background. not hitch found. no lag anywhere , 4 simultaneous 4k videos running flawlessly. needless impressed , ordered identical model used amazon next morning, difference being 2.4 i7 vs 2.7 i7 tested. after doing fresh yosemite install, attempted run similar test on machine , 4 chrome tabs open (2 of 4k youtube videos) , no other applications open started hit hiccups both videos freeze every few seconds while trying stream , if expanded fullscreen wouldn't load @ all. assumed @ first internet connection root of issue doing quick speedtest check revealed fios connection still giving me usual 50/50 connection speed. question being, downgrade 2.7 i7 2.4 i7 yield such drastic difference?
2.4 2.7 shouldn't make vast difference, if yours has 8gb of ram instead of 16gb, might.
gpu same, both have 1gb gt 650m.
note ram soldered , not upgradeable.
