Auto CarPlay - NEX4000 vs AppRadio 4?

i'm not sure if spot (didn't see special forum ios in car or that)

trying understand difference between nex4000 , appradio 4 - found nex on sale ($545) - , debating getting on waiting appradio 4 hit?

know major differences are?
 

the biggest difference looks nex4000 has 7" screen , app radio unit has 6.2" screen. nex units except 8000 use resistive touch screen. 8000 , app radio both use capacitive touch screens. noticed though app radio has smaller screen has same resolution larger nex4000.

nex4000 retails $700 , sells on amazon $545 have found. i'd guess once app radio 4 unit released you'll able less $600.


nex units support pioneers appradio mode on top of carplay.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
