Handoff and Airdrop

i haven't been able use handoff or airdrop on iphone running ios 8.0.2 since pb4, same on pb5 i'm guessing ios 8.0.2? i've tried signing out of icloud on both devices, restarting, , signing in, fixed issue 1 way temporarily phone seems have problems staying connected mac, it's not working again. airdrop doesn't work @ all, devices don't see each other.

wanted see if others experiencing this, driving me nuts :mad: worked fine week or ago, pretty until pb4 , 8.0.2 dropped.
 

you have have supported mac handoff, along ios 8.1 beta.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
