Which retina for just lightroom and Photoshop?

hi all

edit photographs on both current imac , macbook pro retina. there host of threads on performance of both base , upgraded model , guess looking definitive view owners of models , users of lightroom , photoshop.

base model in stock in uk. built spec machine guess wouldn't arrive until after christmas.

edit raw files full frame leica m. use lightroom , apply further edits in photoshop. in addition edit family movies.

base model work this? note. ensuring has 32gb of ram.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
