Discarded Power Mac G5s 'Upcycled' Into Modern Office Furniture

apple's power mac g5 has distinctive aluminum design disruptive when launched in 2003. inspired milestone in design, designer klaus geiger has "upcycled" aging apple hardware furniture because machines "simply disposed of." (via designboom)

as part of project aptly titled "benchmarc", geiger has created sitting bench using carved wooden plank forms bridge between 2 power mac g5 units. machining on wood aligns curve shape of power mac chassis.

beyond benches, geiger has crafted movable conference table, file cabinets , more using discarded power mac machines. additional concept renderings include entire office full of furniture designed around old power mac g5 units.

though interesting one-off furniture design project, isn't first time apple hardware has been recycled. both imac , the mac pro have been converted fish aquariums, while power mac g3 became unusual roadside mailbox.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
