Time to sell my MBP - Help w/ full erase


i'm sure familiar situation: going sell old mbp , need wipe clean (for security purposes). running yosemite - came 10.5 leopard. buyer want os anyway? necessary restore 10.5 on disks? if has patience , doesn't mind directing me toward best way of wiping clean new mbp state, appreciate it!

from memory, should full process:

1. make time machine backup of mac, or @ least backup need
2. clone backup onto drive safe
3. download yosemite app store (app store > purchases > yosemite > download)
4. follow option 1 of guide make bootable usb
5. check backups
6. restart mac , hold 'alt' (option key)
7. select 'install os x yosemite' usb list using arrow keys , hit enter
8. once booted, choose disk utility list , load up
9. select main drive (should have 'macintosh hd' nested below it), , click erase tab
10. ensure format 'mac os extended (journaled)', , call 'macintosh hd'
11. click 'security options...' in lower right, , move slider at least 1 notch right
12. click 'erase...' in bottom right , yes/ok warnings
13. quit disk utility , click 'install os x'
14. follow prompts install yosemite on 'macintosh hd'
15. try avoid signing in apple id @ stage during first boot
