Was the Mac Mini i5 2011 HDMI flicker issue ever fixed?

hi,

know there known issue flicker can't seem find fix - after searching forums , other online resources.

can tell me if issue ever solved please?

i've bought used mac mini mid 2011 2.5 amd graphics chip.

plugged receiver via hdmi flickering started - there no problems when connected directly plasma tv. thunderbolt connection has same issue when plugged receiver fine tv.

receiver marantz 1605 , plan play hi-res audio mac mini via hdmi connected marantz hence need hdmi/thunderbolt connection between mac , marantz.

appreciated!

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
