Pros gone to the dark side : Experiences?

well, without excess drama or fuzz, how did go?

looking experiences different pros, moving images, 3d or photography. shout out!


in short. old pimped 1.1 rig on way out. has served photo workhorse on 8 years, 24/7, miles showing. still the
normal compositing/retouching & normal 1080p editing (barely) doing more , more 3d (mudbox, maya etc) starts show age.
when in recent months need novel/experimental 3d programs has grown along need support or , like.

have decided skip os x have adobe cloud , licenses , rights other software. instead of considering nmp jumping boat. tear or 2 shed have using mac boxes since 1992 but.. :(
times change guess.

have used different pc boxes on side whole time have been kind of...flings..you know. looking decent box (5930k+gtx 980) year or 2 work use. both pscc, lr5, premier/afefx/3d,win 8.1 pro, vr support. have setup pretty dialed, 2.5k euros 3 year warranty. why not going 8-10k xeon box? well, have different work stations @ use @ university/work , home setup. , prolly move withing year, no idea buying massive ferry across globe.


interested in kind of specs people ended (and why) , kind of experiences have gotten after switching. have heard positive adobe cc , how little have affected people working in photography, same.
in video people have had stuff accustomed transition 3d programs seems smoother , easier?



so, whassup? know kind of blasphemy bring out topic mp forum, hell, years have shown place (hot) discussions!

maybe not relevant now, when first got audio/music production in 2009 went windows route. , just..not great. okay small projects classes , such, took me lot longer dealing setup, hardware, , performance issues , such. pro tools.

don't blame windows os it...i blame avid though not coding windows version of pro tools equal os x version. had dell studio xps laptop (a nice laptop still use day, core 2 duo, 8 gb ram, vista , later windows 7 (which both ran dream other using pro tools , other audio production software). firewire chip had drivers pro tools didn't agree with, expensive @ time firewire interface didn't run without issues. pro tools software couldn't work around cpu cycles windows needed run. , doing required many workarounds minimize latency , maximize plug-in processing.

okay student projects wouldn't trust professional making money on craft.

so, i'm pretty tied os x run things need run efficiently. shame. because if away running things well, build myself nice haswell-e system , done it. don't agree how apple treating mac lineup right @ all.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
