iMac 5k I7 vs MacBook Pro I7 2014

hi,

have late 2009 imac i7 , want replace either retina macbook pro late 2014 or imac 5k. want use computer photo editing (lightroom, photoshop , capture one) , video editing (imovie or final cut).

in dilemma between mentioned 2 systems both costs same. advantage of rmbp portabilty whilst imac has 27inch screen. 1 think more suitable needs in terms of gpu , performance.

in advance.
 

the biggest question need answer, mobility. require mobile computer, because if do, imac not choice.

outside of that, think spec wise, imac better. larger better display, faster processor, faster gpu, more storage/ram capability.

Is this battery use normal

i have 2014 11-inch haswell macbook air i5 1.4 / 8 gb / 128 gb. had since october, 3rd mba. clean install of yosemite. virtually no apps installed. no flash. if have bluetooth off , brightness 2/3 might scrap 6 hours of battery use. not using the web. i'm typically using nisus or basic text editor (bbedit) browsing web, on text based sites, no flash, adblock on, 5 or 6 tabs 4.5 hours. watching film 2.5 hours. if leave computer on nothing open, , go sleep disabled, lasts 7 hours. it's not yosemite. getting same on mavericks. know people 12 hours or on 11-inch haswell wifi off, , writing on text editor. took apple shop, nothing showed on battery test, did clean install in case of runaway process (ironically, have runaway process giving me 2 hours battery life total, that's on thread)   there many factors impact battery life. see battery life charge se...
