apple ceo tim cook commented on balance between supply , demand iphone 6 , iphone 6 plus during today's earnings call, stating demand far outstripping supply despite satisfactory production ramp-up. cook noted available data makes unclear when supply catch demand, , company "not close" having balance between supply , demand @ end of q4 2014.

supplies iphone 6 , iphone 6 plus have remained tight since launch of both devices last month, new iphone 6 orders still show shipping estimate of 7-10 business days while iphone 6 plus still showing shipping delay of 3-4 weeks. worth noting iphone 6 has been available @ apple's own stores , other retail locations, while iphone 6 plus has constrained supply in-store.
