Why are iPhone/iPad apps stored on Mac's now?

on imac have itunes, library, , in there have loads of apps iphone , ipad. in fact take 25gb i've checked. have numerous iphones , ipads in household, sync itunes music, , wirelessly anyway. music have after such.

apps though held on apple servers, e.g. when icloud restore, on iphone/ipad "markers" , redownload, otherwise icloud backups huge. apps held on apple's side, , i'm happy this.

why need store 25gb+ on imac, wasting hdd space, , more crucially more cloud (non apple livedrive/crashplan type) backup space subscribe getting used this.

need regularly update apps on imac, no reason either , update on individual iphones/ipads anyway. can tell me why needed (apart plunging in sync maybe), why have them on imac etc.

 

itunes has stored apps on hard drive long remember (as long had options sync apps computer enabled)...

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac give...

Unable to connect to wifi - 10.6.8

my isp forced me buy 3.0 docsis modem, once installed had reset router well. mb pro connected newly setup network fine 30 min. stopped working after having configured network security. issue has nothing network security, allow me explain... when select neighbors locked network, click connect , guess @ password, computer returns "invalid password". when same on own network connected to, says "connection failed". tells me has storage of information network had connected since implementing desired settings network.
