iPhone 4S unresponsive, shows wrong date/time

i have iphone 4s 64gb running on cricket wireless network. working fine am. got work , went use it, , wouldn't wake standby / sleep mode. plugged charging cable, apple symbol showed , phone went home screen, searching cell signal , date set december 31st, , time reading 4:11 pm, though ~9:30am. battery hows 100% charge , charging ( chaged before leaving work am).

i've tried soft reset several times , displays same behavior after each one. phone deosn't seem power unless it's conected charging cable. times freezes other times i'm able navigate through apps , messages. wifi turned off, , can't seem turn on.

ideas? i've done googling , can't seem find entirely similar these issues.

- bad battery ?

- issue w/ software (on ios 7.???)

i talked applecare lady said once had iphone thats clock ran backwards!!!

try standard stuff

1 thing can try reseeding sim card.
turn off iphone
remove sim card
wait few minutes
turn on iphone
wait iphone power , @ home screen after unlock it
wait iphone no sim
insert sim card

if fails

try restore iphone backup
try set new
try restore iphone firmware ( dfu ) reset

when else fails can call apple care. give them serial #. tell phone support cost $35 because not have applecare.

tell them " requesting exemption because installed ios 8 "

make them drop $$$ want

before call applecare. might worth while send them logs
go support.apple.com in safari on iphone
click on iphone
click on contact support
click on service requests
tell them ios restore doesn't solve issue
around there. somewhere there should come link send basic system info
type phone # in , send link apple diagnostics
go messages , click link
clik on extended test or quick test

wait send.
write down ticket #

when call apple can give them ticket # , might find in logs

no matter if test passes or fails, results not show on web page. must call apple results. see in safari check box saying received it

if want send apple logs, or go genius bar request run ios diagnostics, don't erase or wipe phone or set new. because erasing logs.

believe logs send apple have battery related info
