yesterday, apple told pcalc developer james thomson notification center widget portion of popular calculator app pcalc would need removed, notification center widgets "cannot perform calculations."

following significant media coverage of issue, apple has reversed course on decision , according apple spokesperson spoke techcrunch, both pcalc , notification center widget allowed remain in app store, along other apps contain calculator widgets.

initial decision remove pcalc's widget reportedly result of use case apple had not anticipated. because not within guidelines, app store reviewer told thomson functionality need changed or pulled app store. it's attention removal received sparked deeper review of app, leading policy change.

thomson's pcalc app 1 of first apps updated ios 8 , following release, lauded convenient , unique use of notification center in app store reviews , in ios 8 coverage variety of sites.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
