New gmail problems in Apple Mail under Yosemite?
i know gmail problematic apple mail under mavericks, , apple kinda patched up, , yosemite supposed patch more , things working properly.
had lot of email problems under mavericks, yosemite did seem fix them.
until last week!
now, i'm having same problems gmail account used - apple mail sit there, showing no new messages, , when check on ipad or iphone, have dozens of unread emails going hours!
if quit , relaunch apple mail, emails show up. likewise if go mailbox > synchronise accounts.
have 1 gmail account , 1 imap account private domain name, while use gmail website still need use mail client private domain emails.
asked on twitter, , got several replies yosemite users saying had started experiencing same "invisible" email problem had been fixed.
idea going on - or there apple mail (or gmail?) settings need check , change?
i don’t know if it’s related yosemite. yesterday mail on mavericks @ work , yosemite both stopped accepting password. works on ios , web usual.
did google change imap security settings lately?
edit: through account settings, found page enable access device on:
https://accounts.google.com/displayunlockcaptcha
after enter password in mail again , worked normal. there must have been security reset in account somehow.
