iPhone 4S battery replacement without losing iOS 7.1.1

my iphone 4s getting old now, , battery: 1.000 charge cycles done (986) , max capacity 1197 mah now, instead of original 1430 mah..
worth buying new battery in case? because hear lot of people claiming more placebo, , since ios 7+ never same battery power out of used on ios 5-6.
there way better view/calculation on improvement be?
mean yes max capacity go 1197 mah 1430 mah then, suppose doesn't mean 16% more battery life out of then, or true? :)

oh , replacement itself: thinking of sending apple new battery (price doesn't matter), i'm worried mean getting ios 8.1.2 on it.. right? 7.1.1 jailbroken , don't want upgrade @ all, send apple (even if it's battery replacement) means you'll getting new os on it? :(
because if that's case, solution taking third party repair shop who'll , few bucks. again don't know battery come from, somewhere cheap on let's ebay or something... idea of getting replica/non-apple battery scares me: suppose cheap batteries aren't same in quality , have increased risk on overheating?

1197 mah little bit low, not much.
i'd wait little more before changing battery.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
