Retina iMac Temperature Question

hi - new here. got new imac 27" retina today (32 gb ram, 4 gb video ram, i7 processor) , have question.

i'm not power gamer play world of warcraft , guild wars 2. on earlier imac (2012, going partner now) had no issues temperature or fans running @ all, , @ max resolution (2560x1440) ran without issues or fan running.

on new computer, using same resolution before hazy , subpar.

setting maximum (5k) resolution looks , runs - fps remarkable, images pure, it's sort of gaming experience love.

however, i'm running istat keep eye on things, , it's running @ 65º c or running minimal fan activity. trouble other numbers not staying in ranges , starting momentarily (or not momentarily) turn red:

* 4 cpu cores run high 80s c momentary flashes low (red) 90s

* gpu die running 94-100º c , keeps going red.

here's issue - if run @ older resolutions used find fine, looks terrible. can't quality running 2560x1440 seems , i'm not do. should manually keep fan running full blast while i'm gaming? i'm turning down resolution as can without looking unplayable.

advice/help/sage counsel appreciated. (but i'm not looking suggestions on getting different computer play games, thanks.) :)

i've decided return new machine. no matter do, running world of warcraft in resolution brings gpu temps 105 c or hotter. don't want stuck machine cuts out in me in 2 months due burned out gpu.

real shame since beautiful machine.

buyers beware, gaming (nit top of line) start fry mobile graphics chip on thing.
