Resolved Is there a FREE program to enable large HD support on an old Mac?

hey everyone,

put 2 500gb ide hds in mdd, , found that's sort of useless, considering mdd file server (if did make one) big power-sucker. have 450mhz g4 'graphite' use hds, doesn't have large hd support...

know of 1 program (i forget name) enables large hd support on unsupported mac, it's paid software. know $15-or-so isn't such big deal, it's hassle me, because not adult , don't have credit card. (needless say, it's annoying drag parents on purchase thing have no knowledge on). reason $15 g4 worth, don't want total here.

there similar programs out there free? practice little bit obscure, got unrelated things when tried searching it. i'll continue looking in case...

-thanks

i think intell posted nvram strings recently.
