Resolved Scrambled graphics/artifacts on startup screen MBA 11" early 2014

hai.

everytime boot mba 11" (early 2014), scrambled grey screen 2 seconds. boots after , no other problem persists. bought laptop month ago , has been under heavy use ever since.

i'm on mavericks 10.9.5 (downgraded yosemite time ago)

gpu failing or something?

edit: reinstalling os recovery partition fixed it.

something might wrong doubt it's gpu. that's part of intel cpu , don't know i've ever heard of intel cpu failing.

if it's problem happens 2 seconds during period makes no practical difference, wouldn't worry it.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
