New MBP vs. Old MBP

so had house broken , mbp taken, late 2011 15" mbp maxed out hardware when came out.

looking replace it. thing is, playing video games, had old mbp set bootcamp , run games on there champ.

question is, how new mbp graphics cards hold agains older mbps ran duel graphics cards?

the 15" rmbp gt 750m leaps , bounds better radeon card.

have late-2013 15" rmbp 750m , plays bf4 quite well.

1680x1050, mix of high , ultra, 16xaf , fxaa , churns out 47-50 fps on average, lowest being 35 fps , getting 60 fps in quite number of situations.

said, if can wait until summer, broadwell ones bring maxwell, bring large performance increase.

ps iris pro pathetic games bf4 , likes of it.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
