purchased new mac book pro 15" in july.

2.8ghz quad-core intel core i7, turbo boost 4.0ghz

unfortunately doesn't have enough vram x-plane flight simulator. have idea if there way upgrade vram (apple says can't done) or when new mac book pro might come out , if have more vram?
 

how ram have, , retina dual graphics?

you cannot change ram once buy because of how logic boards configured make things more efficient , of course more thin. if want update can sell , buy new 1 loose couple hundred bucks

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
