Laptop Recommendations

i have 2011 mbp took dump presumably gpu failure. in middle of exporting pictures while hooked external monitor, , computer , monitor went black, restarted, had lines on screen....and won't restart now....keeps restarting on , over. i'm 3 months out of apple care warranty. understand, require $700 logic board repair make computer ticking bomb same fault.

so, i'm curious others in scenario? photographer, i've been wanting upgrade retina mbp @ point.....should bite bullet , fix logic board , upgrade @ same time??? need computer enough power comfortably run photoshop, lightroom, etc, , deal large raw files. of storage on external hard drives, i'd have ssd increased loading speeds.

newest macbook pro retinas values? have known flaws, or desired configurations best money? also, memory upgradable? advice!!
 

my advice logic board replaced (it not run $700, should run $315 depot repair), , sell it.

new rmbps don't seem have many issues.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
